This is the delicious chicken curry recipe from Maharashtra.
It’s a divine concoction of coconut, garlic, ginger, sesame, poppy seeds and whole variety of spices. I got ‘Maratha Darbar’s’ Kolhapuri Tamda Rassa’ and couldn’t believe how spot on the flavor is!! It has turned out to be so scrumptious that I felt like I am back in some authentic Kolhapuri restaurant. 😀
Enjoy with bhakri, chapati, pav or rice and of course some onion and green chillies on the side! 🙂
Just follow the instructions on the packet to a T. Its a dry powdered masala packet of all the dry spices and seeds. You just need to add onion, tomato and a few spices.
(From the packet) for 500 grams of chicken/mutton:
1 big onion
5 tbsp OIL
2 crushed cardamom
3 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
Make oil hot in pan. Cook onions till browned. Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, cardamom, turmeric. Now add chicken and water. When it starts to boil, add the masala packet! 🙂
