No Indian girl’s/women’s closet is complete without a single piece of saree. Whenever I wear a saree it makes me feel so complete as a woman ~ its unexplainable and weird (in a good way)! No woman can look as sexy, classy, beautiful and adorable all at the same time in a saree. Its hands down my favorite ethnic wear. Would wear it everyday if I knew how to drape it quickly.
I don’t have a huge collection of my own here and occasionally borrow it from my sister-in-law. I try to mix up my sarees with different blouses every now and then to create different looks.
Blouse Inspiration: My sister-in-law – Forever21 crop top: $12.80
My sister-in-law wore this saree for one of my wedding functions back home. I loved the way she paired this saree with a western crop top. Also, the second reason why I loved this blouse is that after wedding, I put on a few pounds and all of a sudden most of my blouses won’t fit me :(. My SIL’s idea came to rescue 🙂
Saree: Its a very trendy half-n-half black brocade and beige net saree with beautiful red border.
